Selecting Your Pickleball Paddle: Comparing Paddle Shapes
With an abundance of companies and technologies providing pickleball paddle options, there are a number of options to choose from. Paddles typically break down into two shapes: longer and narrow, and shorter and wider, which are a lot more forgiving.
CVPA welcomes community for 8th annual indoor tournament

Comox Valley Pickleball Association will once again welcome players from the Mainland and across Vancouver Island for the association’s 8th Annual Comox Valley Pickleball Association Tournament, May 3-4, 2025.
The Pickleball Canada sanctioned tournament will take place at 19 Wing Fitness & Community Centre in Comox, with registration set to open up on the morning of April 7.
“Skill levels range from 3.0 – 4.5+ in women’s, mens and mixed events,” noted tournament director Rod Hamilton in an email to VIPB. “Participants can expect to find the great competition, camaraderie and delicious food that the event has become famous for.”
